My favorite two kids - Kaylynn and Eli - (along with Lainey) picked me up from the airport Saturday night. We went to dinner at Penn Station on the way to mom and dad's.
When I made it to my house, I had these beautiful welcome home flowers from the Cornelius family.
On Sunday, the whole family went to church together followed by a wonderful brunch at mom and dads with Grandpa Schaefer.
We always find some fun - limbo!
After brunch, I headed to Becky and John's to meet up with my IU crew to celebrate Becky and John's baby girl due in June!
These two...their faces when the conversation turned to breastfeeding...
And then we facetimed Caitlin. It was great to have the whole gang together again, and I can't wait until we can all be together in person!
On Sunday night I went to Lainey & Josh's new house. Kaylynn was excited when she woke up in the middle of the night and I was on the couch and she slept with me the rest of the night.
Sleepy pic with the kids the next morning:
Lainey took the day off work and we took the kids to a play place. They had a great time. We stopped on the way for diet coke polar pops, so I was a happy girl!! We also got Skyline for lunch :)
Since Monday was St. Patrick's day, I met up with these guys for drinks in Hyde Park :)
On Tuesday evening I went with mom and dad to French Lick, Indiana because dad had a conference there Wednesday-Thursday. Mom and I spent the day together Wednesday while dad was at his meetings. We toured the historical West Baden Springs Hotel, did a wine tasting and had lunch at the French Lick Winery, and did some shopping at CVS. It was great to spend the whole day with my momma!
I left French Lick Wednesday and drove back to Lainey & Josh's so I could see Kaylynn's "swim skills" at her swim lesson. She didn't know I was coming and was really excited to see me, but I think it was less excitement to see me and more excitement to get the Cheetos she had earned from me as a treat!
While it was great to be home with my friends and family, the real reason for me being home was for Jamie's wedding. See following post...
